Our products that we manufacture include over 150 different types of dairy inflations to fit most brands and types of shells, as well as, tubing, claws, filters, and a variety of other products for the dairy parlor. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Press Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to operate and maintain press equipment efficiently. While experience in a similar role is preferred, we are willing to train motivated individuals with a strong desire to learn and grow in the field. Responsibilities

  • Uses and maintains required PPE
  • Follow and adhere to all SOP’s and safety procedures and practices for the facility and department
  • Read, understand, and follow all operator's guide and work instructions
  • Keep pace with press cycle times
  • Maintains and operates transfer presses
  • Perform trimming, grinding, punching, date coding of parts after removed from the press according to customer standards
  • Perform visual, in-process, and final inspection of all parts, removing the inlet gates, excessive flashing, and tear trims. Report excessive product defects being produced and/or defective materials to the shift supervisor and/or Quality Tech. This should be noted on an hourly basis and reported to address.
  • Ensure all visual standards and process references are adhered to produce conforming parts
  • Ensure all parts are properly sorted by product type into designed holding bins, in accordance with our labeling system (Routing Cards). Full Bins with routing card are placed on cart for transfer to Finishing. If no Routing Card available, place in designated hold area (with hold card), until routing card available.
  • Keep and maintain accurate records within material tracking software
  • Ensure to adhere to all quality standards
  • Ensure the work area and equipment are in a clean and orderly condition
  • Assists material handling from mill to molding department
  • Assists within the Finishing Department when required
