In this role you will: The Accounts Receivable Specialist & Revenue Accountant is responsible for billing and collecting invoices, posting cash, and responding to related customer inquiries.

Requirements

  • This is a data heavy role that requires ability to work with large data sets and deep knowledge of Excel. This expertise is required.
  • At least 3 years of billing and collections experience. An accounting background is preferred.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct and Salesforce is strongly desired.
  • Must be deeply analytical with a proven ability to problem solve.
  • Detail oriented. Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Extensive verbal/written communication.
  • Effective decision-making and follow-through, ability to effectively communicate process/rules to internal/external customers
  • Technical aptitude in billing and understanding of billing related contract terms.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and sends customer invoices.
  • Collects on invoices and posts cash accordingly.
  • Monitors at-risk accounts to ensure potential problems are accounted for.
  • Reconciles and resolves customer claims and disputes and escalates problems as necessary.
  • Manages delinquent customer accounts and portfolios.
  • Produces and provides customer account reports to management.
  • Communicates with customers and internal team on billing matters, as needed. Coordinate with Accounting & Reporting for month-end close as it relates to revenue reporting.
  • Perform related audits or analyses, as needed.
  • Other related duties or functions, as required.
  • Performs billing audits leveraging system and contracts data, as needed.
  • Performs analyses on billing by periods and type.
