About The Position

San Marcos Academy, a private Christian school in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, is seeking a passionate and dedicated administrator for our academic program Pre K - 12. Our mission is to educate young men and women within a nurturing community based on Christian values. For more information, visit www.smabears.org. We are seeking an elite Christian leader of educators to elevate the status of SMA Academic Programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment and the capabilities to mentor, coach, evaluate, and lead educational administrators and teachers in our mission. They must also be able to relate to, manage, and inspire learners of all ages. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

A committed Christian who is passionate about changing the trajectory of young lives.
Experience and expertise with curriculum Pre-K - 12.
Experience in leadership of a secondary campus.
A positive role model who teaches teamwork, leadership, and personal growth
Master's Degree in Educational Administration (Mid-Management) minimum
An effective communicator for all stakeholders with strong public relations, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
Knowledge of SMA’s mission, vision, and core values
Maintain an exemplary work attendance record
Observe professional and ethical behavior standards

Responsibilities

Administrative and leadership responsibilities, directing a Pre K- 12 academic program
Disaggregation, study, and growth of standardized test scores
Evaluation of faculty members and subordinates.
Hiring and retention of faculty members and subordinates.
Development of academic scheduling
Behavioral management policy and administration in the schools.
Compliance with accreditation standards.
Revision and application of Staff and Student Handbook policies.
Budget development and control.
Other duties as assigned
