About The Position

Aon Is Looking for an Account Executive I/Broker As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Canada Desk in Minneapolis, MN which is part of Aon Global Client Network (AGCN). About AGCN/Canada Desk: The Aon Global Client Network (AGCN) is a practice group within Aon Risk Solutions which is dedicated to leading the multinational risk management strategy and providing tailored solutions for Aon’s retail global clients emanating from all industry sectors. The Aon Canada Desk is comprised of a group of professionals who help clients design and execute their global risk management strategies for Canadian parented companies with operations in the United States. Canada Desk colleagues are responsible for negotiating US insurance coverage, providing strategic consultation relating to all lines of insurance, and coordinating the engagement and ongoing relationships of Aon’s global office network. Aon Canada Desk experts understand the intricacies of multinational risk management and can leverage the collective experience of Aon, and ensure those teams around the world and in the US are operating under a coordinated and aligned basis. Working with consistent protocols and supported by shared technology, the Aon Canada Desk is accountable for the execution of effective global services.

Requirements

  • 1 – 5 years of experience within client/customer support role, preferably with an insurance company, broker or agency.
  • Property/Casualty Insurance license.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
  • Excellent organization skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Negotiation skills, Relationship Management Skills, Strategy
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others (written and oral).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook required

Responsibilities

  • Owns and grows client relationships, leads renewals, and manages overall account profitability.
  • Acts as primary Aon point of contact with senior client decision‑makers with Canadian partners and coordinates US internal resources.
  • Provides and manages the day-to-day client support service processes.
  • Where applicable, serves as the primary interface with Aon Client Services (ACS), coordinating activities of the client service team and ACS to ensure that key processes assigned are performed effectively.
  • Interface with team on administration matters such as following-up on invoice generation, receivables and collections. Review and resolve income leakage reports, etc., as needed.
  • Processing endorsements, certificates, auto ID cards, invoicing, etc. in coordination with the Aon Client Service Center.
  • Lead Broker teams on renewal processes such as renewal requests and proposals
  • Designs renewal strategy; leads renewal process and team
  • Working with Surplus Lines Unit to ensure placement is compliant, proper documentation obtained, taxes and fees are correctly assessed and processed on invoice.
  • Coordinates with Aon Client Services (ACS) and Canada Desk colleagues
