Job Description The Account Processor – Repossession supports the front‑end of the physical repossession process for Consumer loans. This role performs operational, control, and customer‑facing activities prior to repossession, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, risk controls, and internal policies. The position partners closely with internal teams, external vendors, and customers to manage collateral logistics, account validation, and customer reinstatement activity while mitigating operational and regulatory risk.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to four years of experience in clerical and customer service activities

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of operational support and oversight activities related to physical repossession and collateral liquidation processes for Consumer Banking.
  • Support the front‑end repossession process prior to repossession taking place, including account validation, assignment controls, and customer coordination.
  • Validate and manage daily controls; identify, document, and escalate regulatory, risk, financial, and operational findings as needed.
  • Support repossession vendors by providing accurate location information, coordinating logistics, and monitoring effectiveness measures.
  • Manage physical collateral across the United States, including impounded and repossessed assets (auto, RV, marine, and other consumer loan collateral).
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis and investigation into account‑level issues, discrepancies, or exceptions.
  • Create and validate customer correspondence to ensure regulatory accuracy and compliance.
  • Support customers through reinstatement and vehicle retrieval processes, including participation in a small inbound phone queue.
  • Provide consumer titling oversight and coordinate sales and liquidation activities with internal partners and external vendors, including legal counsel when applicable.
  • Partner with internal teams responsible for post‑repossession liquidation to ensure smooth handoffs when required.
