About The Position

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for an Account Specialist to join our Marine team in Kennesaw, GA. The Account Specialist will support Boat Builders, Marine Dealers, and our field staff by placing orders, releasing product and reporting for both the Outboard and WaterCraft teams. They will provide customer service to all internal and external customers—including Sales, Service, ISD, Logistics and boat factory. They will focus on process improvement to help ensure we are able to proactively seek solutions for our customers and will assist in managing the supply chain of outboard motors, sport boats and WaveRunner watercraft, while improving our communication and synergy within our teams.

Requirements

  • BA / BS degree required
  • 3-5 years customer service role preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Dealership background or similar industry experience is preferred
  • SAP business solutions and/or knowledge of TM system is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily/weekly contact with customers in regards to forecasts, orders, supply and delivery estimates. Provide pro-active and detailed follow-through on customer communications.
  • Work closely to support field staff; quickly respond to phone calls and emails to properly address product questions/issues in the field.
  • Provide support around Yamaha Marine Business System portal and registration questions, to Marine Dealerships via Cisco Finesse phone queue.
  • Communicate regularly with Operations, Planning and Sales departments regarding supply constraints, demand allocations and any other requirements.
  • Monitor the demand, orders and production of outboard engine, WaveRunner and sport boat product to refine the promised availability dates.
  • Proactively identify and communicate opportunities to improve inventory levels by identifying demand, sales, and making sure the right product is going to the right places.
  • Provide information to management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends with recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide backup to other Account Specialists when necessary.
