About The Position

Accountant/Financial Analyst – The Auto Club Group What you will do: Prepares financial related analyses and research to support and facilitate timely management decisions and/or financial reports or statements. Performs tasks necessary to ensure data integrity within the financial systems. Analyzes and evaluates financial impact of various decisions or transactions on financial results. Interacts with other departments and management to provide timely follow-up to inquiries and requests for financial data. Interprets results and proves recommendations for appropriate action plans. Develops and maintains complex financial models. Prepares and presents written and oral reports/documents. Provides support for internal and external auditors by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries and implementing recommended changes. Coordinates, tests and documents system changes or upgrades. Represents finance on corporate teams and initiatives. Develops and maintains job documentation and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Preparing financial reports
  • Using automated accounting and/or management reporting systems
  • Preparing, analyzing and interpreting financial data and/or statistical data
  • Use and development of workpapers, schedules models using various spreadsheet software such as Excel
  • Communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing
  • Research and analyze complex financial data
  • Analyze and problem solve
  • Organize and plan
  • Work independently
  • Participate on project teams
  • Work irregular or extended hours as required
  • Derive actionable conclusions from analyzing data and information

  • 5 or more years of experience in a complex accounting environment
  • Detailed account reconciliation experience
  • Workday experience
  • Experience with automated reconciliation software such as Cadency, Blackline and T-RECS
