About The Position

Rosendin Electric is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join the Cost Accounting team to provide support in various accounting functions within the company.

Requirements

  • Proficient understanding of accounting processes and principles
  • Experience with a large ERP system preferred, Oracle preferred
  • Effective analytical skills
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook,Word,Excel,etc.)
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
  • Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
  • Oral and written communication skills as required for the position
  • Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business-related
  • 2-3 years’ experience in finance or accounting

Nice To Haves

  • Oracle Fusion and MS Access experience a plus
  • Combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly close process: including coordination of actual close with multiple finance departments, preparing month end schedules, accruals, reconciliation, and preparing closing entries.
  • Consolidation, review and distribution of monthly P&L reports:including coordination with regional controllers to review cost, accruals, internal JV accounting and overall revenue recognition.
  • Prepare monthly internal JV billings and various inter-company billings.
  • Prepare and upload various journal entries daily as well as ensuring all transactions are carried out in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile inter-company AR and AP transactions monthly and work with cross functional teams to discuss and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Reconcile inventory, deposit and clearing accounts monthly and work with cross functional teams to discuss and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update union wage and fringe rates:including supporting ad hoc requests from Operations to build historical cost of labor files, custom rates.
  • Assist with the yearly audit and provide supporting documentation.
  • Assist with Fixed Asset reporting including tracking costs for various purchases and on-going capitalizable projects, preparing monthly entries to move costs to FA.
  • Provide general support on miscellaneous ad hoc projects.
