Responsibilities include assisting with financial analysis, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and maintaining financial records. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software are essential for success in this position. This position engages in cross-functional collaboration throughout the organization. The role supports improvement initiatives throughout the department, supporting growth and standard processes. To excel in this role, candidates should possess robust accounting expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and an analytical mindset. This person should also be collaborative and have a strong work ethic.

Requirements

  • 2 years or greater degree preferred.
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, primarily Excel & Word is a must.
  • A professional, positive, and flexible attitude.
  • Must be dependable, responsible, self-managed and follow through with minimum direction.
  • Thrives in a collaborative work environment with open communication with peers and supervisors.
  • Ability to interact with a variety of personnel.
  • Excellent organization & prioritization skills are a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automated accounting systems is preferred, experience with Acumatica a plus.
  • Prior experience with multi-state operations a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Responsible for accurately inputting tax certifications, including forms and documents, into designated software systems.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
  • Utilize financial systems and tools (e.g., Acumatica, Excel) effectively to manage and analyze financial data.
  • Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to gather information, resolve issues, and support business initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements in all financial activities.
  • Assist in audit preparations and responses to audit inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate provision of financial information.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and provide financial information as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting procedures and systems.
  • Complete tasks or projects assigned by the Controller or finance leadership
