Requirements

  • 3+ years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software and financial processes
  • A self-starter attitude and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanor
  • Excellent organizational skills and an eye for detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Efficient with email communication; responds to messages quickly
  • Analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and work independently
  • Team player, thrives in a changing environment
  • Extensive experience with accounting software and some financial reporting.
  • Understanding of general accounting principles.
  • Ability to quickly understand and perform required tasks

Responsibilities

  • Maintain vendor files, invoices, payment documentation, and approvals.
  • Assist with payroll processing, payroll imports, and reconciliation.
  • Prepare and post journal entries as assigned.
  • Perform monthly credit card reconciliations.
  • Maintain organized and audit- ready financial records.
  • Assist with budgeting, tracking, and budget- to-actual reporting.
  • Support grant financial reporting, documentation, and compliance .Assist with annual audits and respond to auditor requests.
  • Reconcile bank statements and code corporate credit card transactions according to the Company’s policies.
  • Assists with month-end and year-end accounting closing activities as needed
  • Reports any discrepancies found in the records
