Main purpose of the Accounting Intern role: This is a part time role for a candidate who will help with some clean-up projects in Fixed Assets, AR, Unclaimed Property. This role will provide some hands-on experience for the intern in assets, cash and also how to prep for an audit.

Requirements

Strong organizational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
Excel – Be able to review mass amounts of data
Follow directions
Junior/Senior level Student

Nice To Haves

Previous accounting internship
Excel skills (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables)

Responsibilities

Basic account reconciliations
Matching AR to Cash transactions
Reviewing Fixed assets and updating schedules as needed.
Support Customer service and PHP Accounting team with unclaimed property
Preparing journal entries during month-end close.
Assist with pulling, compiling, and uploading audit support for statutory and external audits.
Ad-hoc requests from within and outside the GL team.
