About The Position

The Accounts Payable Manager plays a key leadership role within Belle Tire's Shared Services Accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing AP team, partner cross-functionally across the business, and make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The Accounts Payable Manager is hands-on in daily operations while also driving process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability as the company continues to grow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five or more years of accounts payable experience
  • Two or more years of management experience
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Strong computer skills -- proficient in Excel
  • Good communication skills for interacting with employees and management
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and high volume environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Collaborative and customer service oriented work style
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Manages a staff of 9 accounts payable analysts in a high-volume environment. This includes evaluating, training, hiring and mentoring staff. Assessing staffing workload along with re-defining job responsibilities as needed.
  • Processing of accounts payable for select vendors.
  • Manages monthly closing procedures of accounts payable.
  • Support team with day-to-day operational inquiries.
  • Prepares accounts payable check previews and check runs.
  • Prepares analysis of accounts, work with accounts payable associates on problems vendors, as required.
  • Ensure that the Company's written processes and procedures are documented and current.
  • Reviews accounts payable documents prepared by analysts for accuracy, completeness and compliance to policy.
  • Review monthly accounts payable aging.
  • 1099 reporting
  • Analyze the workflow process and identify opportunities to automate manually intensive tasks as well as identify other ways to improve productivity within the department.
