Position Summary: The Activities Program Manager directs the development, implementation and evaluation of the Enhanced Living program delivery model across the continuum of care in a single community through excellence in recreational programming that afford residents the opportunity to rediscover his or her own unique purpose and fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years or more at management level in recreation or activities; health care center environment required.
  • Knowledge of MDS and regulatory experience required.
  • Demonstrated success is staff supervision and development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field required.
  • CTRS or equivalent
  • CPR/First Aid certified preferred

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, and motivate a team of community Enhanced Living staff members to identity the needs and desires of each resident through robust and innovative recreational programming
  • In collaboration with EL team leadership, champion program initiatives throughout the community through implementation of unique and enriching program opportunities in accordance with corporate philosophy of Enhanced Living, and representing the six dimensions of wellness; Spiritual, Intellectual, Social, Emotional, Physical and Occupational
  • Oversee documentation process for resident recreational progress; address individual resident interests and concerns. Adapt program accordingly.
  • Maintain full compliance with federal, state and local regulations and MDS reporting requirements for recreation in Skilled Nursing area.
