The Opportunity This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) Division in Alameda, CA. We are helping people with diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we are committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels. As a Financial Analyst, you will provide support to the FP&A Manager, and involves collecting, compiling, and analyzing ADC Global R&D financial information for P&L, Balance Sheet, CapEx and Cashflow to provide accurate and timely information to finance management for strategic and operational decisions. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in finance, accounting or economics)
  • 1-3 years financial analysis experience.
  • Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.
  • Highly proficient in Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree / MBA preferred
  • Experience with EssBase, Dodeca, SAP and Hyperion a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Knowledge of PBI (Power BI)
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Global ADC R&D finance teams to acquire information for reporting and variance analysis.
  • Support month-end close process and reporting of ADC Global R&D financial performance metrics on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Prepare, consolidate, and analyze ADC Global R&D forecast information to support deliverables during LBE/OEM/Plan cycle.
  • Develop flexible, comprehensive tools and templates to support the consolidation and timely completion of ADC Global R&D schedules as well as develop process improvements that meet the needs of the financial planning and reporting requirement.
  • Support/Analyze ADC Global R&D financial forecasts incorporating historical results, trends, and current business/market information.
  • This role will support New Medical Sensor business case analysis by collaborating with cross functional teams (TechOps, Commercial and Operations).
  • Assist with executive presentation development.
  • Support Finance management on key projects and analysis such as project resource allocation, ROI analysis for the new projects as well as software development capitalization assessment.
  • Perform Ad hoc requests for management, with data mining and presentation support.
