About The Position

DWF are seeking a proactive and organised Admin Assistant to join our highly regarded Health Care team. In this role, you will support the team with opening a variety of files and accurately capturing all required data into our centralised system. The team is well‑known for its specialist industry expertise and for delivering high‑quality, commercially focused advice to a broad range of clients, including private sector organisations, local authorities, and the UK’s National Health Service. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our legal professionals, helping to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations and an exceptional client experience. The role is hybrid with office attendance required approximately 1-2 days per week.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a secretarial or administrative role, preferably within the Legal or Insurance sector.
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to multitask under deadlines.
  • Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A team player with a proactive approach and a willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with NHS Resolution.
  • Knowledge of case management systems e.g. VisualFiles.

Responsibilities

  • Processing new instructions in line with strict service level agreements.
  • Opening files promptly to ensure compliance with court deadlines.
  • Downloading and processing documentation, preparing court bundles, and other document packs.
  • Preparing and managing incoming/outgoing correspondence sent by a variety of methods.
  • Maintaining electronic files in accordance with internal processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting with maintenance of financial hygiene across files upon instruction of fee earners.
  • Providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the office.
