About The Position

The Administrative Support Assistant works with the department's administrative team and the Razorback Educator Development Hub to support about 45 faculty, 6 staff, and students across the Department of Curriculum and Instruction's undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as teacher education programs in other departments and colleges. The Administrative Support Assistant III will be responsible for coordinating office activities, researching and preparing special reports, helping with special events, developing, revising, and recommending administrative policies and procedures. This position will supervise students' digital background checks and oversee the processing of teacher education applications across multiple programs. This position includes assisting with fiscal operations, which encompass travel and procurement with the college's accounting team. This will involve reserving flights, arranging hotel accommodations, registering faculty members for conferences, as well as submitting travel claims and requests. This is an in-person position. Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
  • At least two years of experience in a specialized or a related field applicable to work performed
  • Experience with data management applications and programs and use of email programs for communication
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office application-particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and reports
  • Ability to research, compile data, and analyze related work program information
  • Ability to establish and maintain filing systems
  • Ability to analyze documents for compliance with rules, regulations, and policies
  • Ability to maintain ethical standards and confidentiality
