About The Position

At FutureCare our Administrator In Training is designed for candidates to meet the requirements for specialized training as outlined by the State Board of Nursing Home Administrators and ultimately successfully pass both the National and State licensing requirements in order to become a licensed Nursing Home Administrator. During your training you will work with the Administrator to learn how to direct the overall operations of the center in accordance with current local, state and federal regulations governing long-term care in-order to ensure the highest level of quality care is provided to all those we serve. Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in healthcare administration, nursing, therapy, business, or a related field) is required.
  • Experience leading teams and/or supervising others
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently and communicate effectively across multiple teams and levels of staff and leadership
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
  • A commitment to excellence and customer service

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a board approved structured program with hands on experience rotating through the various departments of the facility to learn how they function and support the quality mission of the center
  • Assist the Administrator in daily facility operations
  • Provide support in various departments to help ensure in the facility is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Under the guidance of your preceptor you will take on projects and assignments that have the potential to improve center performance, enhance patient outcomes, and contribute to our overall success
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and achieve desired outcomes
  • Participate in the facilities Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Process (QAPI)
  • Attend company leadership meetings and other trainings to help you build your leadership skills by learning from seasoned professionals who are dedicated to your success.
  • Participate in staff management, scheduling, training, and performance oversight
  • Partner with the Administrator to resolve patient and family concerns and ensure exceptional customer service
  • Learn key financial metrics and procedures including payroll, billing, accounts receivable/payable, reimbursement, collections and overall P&L management.
  • Participate in the admissions, discharge planning and discharge process admissions, family relations, and in customer service initiatives
