About The Position

The Adult Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by coordinating quality day services. This role involves supervising program staff, developing and implementing Person Centered Plan (PCP), and ensuring compliance with Medicaid and regulatory standards. The Coordinator will also work closely with families, caregivers, and community partners to ensure the overall success and well-being of program participants.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in human services (e.g., sociology, special education, psychology)
• At least 1 year of experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to manage physical demands of supporting adults with disabilities (lifting, assisting, crisis response)
• Comfortable navigating behavioral support plans and regulatory requirements
• Computer literacy and proficiency in documentation
• TB screening and criminal background clearance
• Successful completion of all required training (CPR, First Aid, MANDT, Medication Administration, etc.)

Nice To Haves

• Prior supervisory experience in a day program or residential setting
• Strong case management and program coordination skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Program Assistants in implementing structured daily activities
• Develop, monitor, and update Person Centered Plans (PCP)
• Maintain accurate case documentation and incident reports
• Coordinate participant care including hygiene, feeding, mobility, and medication administration
• Provide crisis management and behavioral support as needed
• Facilitate job development and community integration for participants
• Engage with families, community service boards, and other stakeholders
• Support daily program operations in the absence of the Director
