Functions in collaboration with the health care team in accordance with certification and licensure. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. Responsible for dissemination of knowledge through instructing, leading and developing educational programs. Job Details The Digestive Disease Institute (DDI) is currently seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Adult, Acute Care or Family) for an Outpatient position managing patients with liver disease at primarily at Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus. Some responsibilities will include Office visits for both new, consult and established patients, coordination of care, ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing, managing provider inbox including patient messages, phone calls and results. Conditions managed include but are not limited to elevated liver biochemistries, fatty liver, viral hepatitis, genetic liver conditions and compensated/decompensated cirrhotics. The primary location for this position will be Main Campus, regional sites can be considered based on patient and department needs. Paracentesis training and clinic coverage is possible based on candidate interest and department needs. The ideal candidate for this position would possess the following traits: organized, self-starter, driven, efficient, team player, have a high sense of accountability and be comfortable with a high level of autonomy. The schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday from 8-5 with no weekends or holidays; please note procedure dates may start slightly earlier. Prior GI, Hepatology and/or transplant experience preferred, but not required. New graduates are welcome to apply.
