We have an opening for a Group Leader for the Advanced Engineering Analysis Group (AEAG) within the Applied Engineering Mechanics (AEM) Section. The group uses advanced, nonlinear finite element analysis codes developed at LLNL to evaluate structural and material responses to combined thermal, quasi-static or dynamic, and hydrodynamic loads under time-dependent kinematic conditions to support Laboratory national security missions. You will provide administrative leadership for the group and contribute to its technical and strategic leadership. This position is in the Computational Engineering Division (CED), within the Engineering Directorate. This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.
