About The Position

The Advancement Advisor plays a critical role in advancing Prodeo Academy’s mission by strengthening and scaling the network’s fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This role is responsible for building and managing a robust major donor pipeline, creating aligned and effective fundraising systems, and developing compelling donor-facing stories and materials. Working collaboratively across the Development and Enrollment teams, the Development Manager ensures a coordinated, data-driven approach to advancement that supports organizational growth and student opportunity. This position also partners with internal teams, volunteers, and vendors to execute priorities while upholding Prodeo’s core values and maintaining a safe, supportive environment for all scholars. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 10+ years of experience working in a fast-paced corporate or non-profit setting, ideally in development and donor acquisition.
  • Experience in executing complex project logistics with a track record of strong results.
  • Strong attention to detail and desire to provide high-quality service.
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
  • Expert-level written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and skills in the following areas: relationship and community building, stakeholder engagement, cultural competence, communication, conflict resolution, creativity, problem-solving, decision-making, and time management.
  • Excellent organization skills and consistency in meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and experience in effectively solving challenging problems through a positive, collaborative approach.
  • Entrepreneurial outlook and commitment to Prodeo Academy’s mission.
  • Familiarity with digital media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Experience with database management and comfort with Office Suite or Google App Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Build a robust pipeline of major donor prospects by completing a prioritized database of qualified prospective donors for larger gifts and/or capital campaign participation. This includes gathering stakeholder intel as well as qualifying additional prospective donors through various research methods.
  • Create compelling marketing material that tells the Prodeo story for fundraising by reviewing and aligning on plans, calendars, and core materials.
  • Collaborate and partner with the Development team to implement an EOS-style operating approach for development.
  • Design donor stories, assets, and materials to be shared with prospective donors.
  • Collaborate with the Enrollment team on strategy, particularly where advancement and enrollment goals intersect in building awareness and interest.
  • Manage and provide direction to volunteer and vendor resources as needed to move priority goals forward.
  • Ensure safety of students at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the school and organization.
