About The Position

ReDefiners World Languages works with children and families to strengthen literacy, language learning, and community engagement. During the summer, the organization operates a learning camp for elementary students and hosts community cultural events that bring families together around language, arts, and learning.
AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associates will serve in direct service roles supporting daily program activities, student supervision, and community events. Members will help create engaging learning environments for students while also supporting the organization’s multicultural community festivals that celebrate language, arts, and culture.

Requirements

• Interest in education, youth programs, community engagement, or nonprofit work
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and families
• Comfortable working with elementary-age students in group settings
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic about supporting community programs
