About The Position

Georgia Medical Staffing is in need of a FT Anesthesiologist for a VA contract in Clarksburg, WV Details: Location: Lois A. Johnson VA Medical Center, Clarksburg, WV Dates: 4/1/26-12/31/26 (option to extend) Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and/or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call - 1 week per month Requirements: Any active, unencumbered state license BC by ABA Scope: 95% direct patient care, 5% administrative Preoperative evaluation Intravenous conscious/moderate sedation Management of fluid, electrolyte and metabolic parameters Airway management, basic and complicated, including all associated devices and techniques Invasive monitoring (Pulmonary Artery Catheter, Central Venous, Arterial Lines) Local and regional anesthesia with and without sedation, including topical and infiltration, minor and major nerve blocks Management of intraoperative complications Management of PACU problems Peripheral nerve block to include major plexus block Manipulation of body temperature Manipulation of cardiovascular parameters Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation including tracheal intubation, ventilation, and basic and advanced CPR monitoring Joint and bursa sac injection Trigger point injection Cervical, thoracic, lumbar and caudal blocks Differential spinal blocks Cervical, brachial and lumbar plexus blocks Stellate ganglion blocks Celiac plexus blocks Lumbar sympathetic blocks Regional blocks of the head, neck and limbs Blocks for the treatment of cephalgia

Requirements

  • Any active, unencumbered state license
  • BC by ABA

Responsibilities

  • Preoperative evaluation
  • Intravenous conscious/moderate sedation
  • Management of fluid, electrolyte and metabolic parameters
  • Airway management, basic and complicated, including all associated devices and techniques
  • Invasive monitoring (Pulmonary Artery Catheter, Central Venous, Arterial Lines)
  • Local and regional anesthesia with and without sedation, including topical and infiltration, minor and major nerve blocks
  • Management of intraoperative complications
  • Management of PACU problems
  • Peripheral nerve block to include major plexus block
  • Manipulation of body temperature
  • Manipulation of cardiovascular parameters
  • Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation including tracheal intubation, ventilation, and basic and advanced CPR monitoring

  • Cervical, thoracic, lumbar and caudal blocks
