About The Position

Mount Hood Meadows is seeking a detail-oriented and service-minded Payroll Accountant / Payroll Specialist to join our Accounting Department. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for our dynamic and seasonal workforce, while also supporting key Accounts Payable and general accounting functions. The ideal candidate brings strong payroll expertise, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset, while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical business practices. In this position, you will manage bi-weekly payroll operations, support payroll-related accounting functions, and serve as a trusted resource for employees and leadership. You will also support and train end users on Accounts Payable systems and processes, administer the NetSuite Accounts Payable system, process manual A/P checks, manage the corporate credit card program, and respond to A/P inquiries from Mount Hood Meadows personnel and related companies. Working closely with the accounting team, department supervisors, and managers, you will help ensure payroll and A/P accuracy, regulatory compliance, and exceptional internal customer service. Requirements

  • Requires prior experience equivalent to three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in payroll administration.
  • Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Proficient MS Office, Word and Outlook skills
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Prior experience with Accounting Systems and Payroll applications
  • Demonstrated analytical ability, maturity and judgment
  • Capacity to work effectively and efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate in a professional manner
  • Employment in this position is subject to satisfactory background screening
