An Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is responsible for managing and processing all incoming invoices and payments. They ensure that all bills and expenses are recorded accurately, payments are made on time, and vendors are paid in a timely manner. They also reconcile accounts, resolve any discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and knowledge of accounting principles are essential for this role. Duties & Responsibilities (Essential functions are identified in bold and italicized text below.) Must work safely at all times. Process supplier invoices including checking for accuracy, legitimacy, coding, supporting documentation and financial authorization. Processing may occur in Oracle, RightAngle or other systems. Work professionally and proactively with NGL's business unit leaders with regard to their particular business needs, while enforcing AP department standards. Enter invoices within 24-36 hours of receipt. Troubleshoot and research invoice issues, including outstanding credits, open invoices, invoices pending approval, etc. This includes the resolution of supplier invoice issues within 72 hours of notification. Build relationships with suppliers, both internal and external. Complete other duties and miscellaneous projects as assigned according to business necessity. Position Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse population; demonstrated ability to interact professionally and courteously. Flexible and adaptable to change, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment. Must show demonstrated initiative; self-motivated. Experience/Education Current Oracle payable or ERP experience is required. RightAngle (SRA) experience is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required. 3 or more years of AP experience and/or Associates or Bachelor's degree is required. Job requires more than 40+ hours a week and some weekends Travel Negligible travel required.
