About The Position

This is a professional information technology position that will work with the USF Academic Planning and Accreditation team in the office of the Provost and Executive Vice President. This position may also be located in a program, center, or institute where a major function of the unit is the development and support of a specialized application. Incumbents in this classification must possess an advanced and comprehensive knowledge of applications systems development and the system(s) they support, along with knowledge of other information technology functions to apply a broad and interactive perspective to applications development. This position requires specialized knowledge of appropriate programming languages and development tools. This is a senior level professional position requiring the ability to complete the most difficult development and programming tasks independently. The Applications Developer III will be called upon to provide guidance and project direction to other staff members on the development team, and will serve as an expert resource within the university on the functionality of their assigned system(s).

Requirements

Advanced and comprehensive knowledge of applications systems development and the system(s) they support
Knowledge of other information technology functions to apply a broad and interactive perspective to applications development.
Specialized knowledge of appropriate programming languages and development tools.
Ability to complete the most difficult development and programming tasks independently.
