About The Position

From the moment a seed is planted through to harvest, crops need to be protected from weeds, insects and diseases as well as droughts and floods, heat and cold. Syngenta Crop Protection is headquartered in Switzerland. The purpose of the Area Maintenance Engineer is to to ensure equipment availability and reliability of a production unit in the St. Gabriel plant. Maintain assigned unit in good operating condition (mechanical, electrical & instrumentation areas), with help of internal and external resources within budget constraints. Establish good communication with customers, and control expenses. Implement improvement measures, be responsible for small capital disbursements, participate & support plant wide safety and environmental initiatives.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required
• Previous plant expereience desired but not required.
