Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and customer service expectations at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns per post orders.
  • Monitor security-related systems and activities such as badge checks, visitor processing, alarms, cameras, and controlled entry points, and complete required logs and documentation.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for additional support, providing clear radio communications, and following emergency response directions from site leadership.
  • Help to reduce risk by identifying potential hazards, policy violations, and unauthorized activity, and by escalating issues promptly through the chain of command and/or client contacts.
