Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering strong customer service. This role requires an Armed Guard Card and/or License and a calm, professional approach aligned with our agile, reliable, and integrity-driven team.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by site assignment.
• Maintain an armed post in accordance with Allied Universal policies, state requirements, and post orders, including proper carry, handling, and storage of issued and/or authorized equipment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, requesting law enforcement and/or emergency services, and completing required notifications.
• Control access points by checking identification, monitoring visitor entry and/or deliveries, observing alarm and camera systems when assigned, and preparing clear reports of security-related activities and incidents.
