Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5 years of armed security-related experience is required.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, document observed activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Support loss prevention efforts by observing customer and employee activity, addressing access control issues, and assisting with de-escalation during disruptive situations when needed.
