About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Roving Patrol in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a high-visibility presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badging as needed. You will respond to alarms, document observations, and communicate clearly with site leaders and visitors. Requirements

• Have 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree.
• Be at least 21+ Years of Age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and coordinating with on-site management and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access through gates, docks, and other controlled entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and delivery documentation, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in process.
• Complete detailed shift activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations and equipment concerns to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
