As a Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card/license. You will assist tenants and visitors with professionalism, communicate clearly, and document activity as needed. Requirements
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and tenant or visitor concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and property management as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
- Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and directing visitors to appropriate locations according to site procedures.
- Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts.
