You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. This post requires Texas Level III Armed Certification, and offers a fast-moving role where you act with integrity, rely on teamwork, and bring innovative, people-first service to every shift.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas, observing for unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access and/or property damage.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site personnel and/or local emergency services as directed.
  • Control access at designated points by verifying identification, monitoring visitor entry, and directing the public to appropriate locations in accordance with post orders.
  • Document observations, patrol activity, and incidents in written reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site representatives.
