About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Team Lead Assembler (Level C) to join the Doors Team located in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift. The Team Lead will be responsible for, but are not limited to, performing tasks in the following areas pre-shift planning, crew meetings, team status updates, labor loss, production control, training, process improvement and One BPS. Position Responsibilities: Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools. Builds effective resource plans. Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader. Updates and communicates BPS metrics. Identifies KPI improvement actions. Assigns daily work. Leads team in daily safety check-in. Monitors and reports daily progress to plan. Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk. Documents and communicates shift turnover. Establishes overtime requirements and staffing. Responsible for monitor and control of 5S. Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues. Creates standardized work instructions. Support teammates to improve their job performance including identifying training. Responsible for BPS process improvements. Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, and fabrication
  • 3+ years of Formal or Informal Leadership Experience
  • 1+ years of experience with 787 program operations

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience with aircraft electrical systems
  • 3+ years of Aircraft systems troubleshooting and fault repair
  • 1+ years of experience aircraft interior repair
