About The Position

Assistant Cook, Moorhead High School Career Academy 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday-Friday Prepares and serves nutritious meals to customers. Works with the Head Cook to complete preparation of menu items for meal services, catering and special events. Assists with the cleaning and maintenance of the food service facility and equipment. Completes assigned Daily Food Production, Food Temperature and other pertinent records. Communicates promptly and works harmoniously with the Head Cook, FNS Staff, Students and District Staff. Functions as Head Cook in the absence of the Head Cook. Preparation of food for school lunch program in accordance with the menu, meal count and food production record. Serves students and staff from the cafeteria counter. Follows sanitation/safety standards for food handling during storage, preparation and service. Assists in the major cleaning of kitchen areas, storeroom and equipment at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the supervisor.
