About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the development, delivery, facilitation, sustainment, and measurement of frontline/operational training for Universal Kids Resort (UKR). Provides facilitation and training support for all areas and departments. Maintains ownership of on-the-job and service training programs. Partners with Talent Development Centers of Excellence for frontline and leadership development to ensure alignment of offerings. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Research, designs and develops new training programs and materials. Ensures training manuals are updated, relevant and align with current Standard Operating Procedures focused around providing an inclusive and fun environment. Creates training materials for operators to support specific needs and partnerships such as IBCCES. Incorporates measurement and assessment tools to support all training. Analyzes trends, identifies gaps and uses Company metrics and measures (e.g., GSAT, TSAT, turnover, performance management data, etc.) to develop targeted training plans based upon findings. Advises business partners in proper allocation of training resources. Delivers and facilitates structured training and development programs and initiatives in support of the company’s training plan, objectives and brand essence. Conducts refresher training, awareness training, new hire orientation and pertinent departmental training classes/programs (topical “just-in-time” spot training). Accompanies new hires throughout the course of their orientation experience, ensuring they have a smooth and consistent experience. Evaluates training provided by hourly Operators/Attendants to ensure quality and consistency; coaches individuals to improve knowledge or skills where necessary; oversees Train-the-Trainer and On-the-Job Training (OJT) process, ensuring proper ratios and skill level and certifies Team Members on OJT procedures. Acts as a liaison between areas of responsibility, EHS, Talent Acquisition and other business partners as needed to ensure all training and scheduling needs are addressed and communicated. Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills are required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
  • 2+ years of relevant training and facilitation experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge/familiarity of Success Factors or Articulate a plus.
  • Instructional design experience preferred.
