Assistant Pool Manager
About The Position
The West Fargo Park District is seeking a dedicated Assistant Pool Manager to help oversee operations at our aquatic facilities. If you are a certified lifeguard passionate about water safety and management, this role provides an excellent opportunity to gain leadership experience while ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for our community members. The Assistant Pool Manager plays a key role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall operations of our pools. This position includes supervising lifeguards, assisting with pool maintenance, and providing exceptional customer service. The role offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to build leadership and operational skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Lifeguard certification (current).
- First aid and CPR certification (current).
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in pool operations, lifeguard supervision, or customer service is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Cover open shifts as a lifeguard or front desk staff.
- Manage money-handling tasks, including bank runs.
- Clean and maintain the pool, pool deck, and locker rooms.
- Assist in training lifeguards and ensure adherence to pool rules and expectations.
- Conduct safety inspections to maintain a secure environment.
- Perform and document daily chemical checks; add chemicals when needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest questions and concerns.
- Assist with in-service training for lifeguards.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations.
- Support backwashing of the pool when necessary.
- Respond to emergencies promptly and in accordance with emergency procedures.
- Helping with concessions when needed.
