About The Position

Teach undergraduate level courses, recruit, advise, and mentor students. Assist students with ECE program of study planning for ECE major and minor. Supervise student candidate field experiences and student teaching for licensure. Participate in department, unit and university-wide meetings as needed, partner with school district personnel and with other university faculty Collaborate in state and national accreditation processes and program review. Fulfill duties and responsibilities associated with a fulltime, fixed-term position in the Early Childhood Education Program. Requirements

  • Documented successful public school teaching experience in Birth to Grade 3.
  • Current Minnesota early childhood education teaching licensure.
  • Earned master’s or doctorate degree in literacy or early childhood special education or special education or elementary education.
  • Evidence of demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from minoritized, historically marginalized groups, and culturally diverse groups.
  • Evidence of successful experience working with multilingual families and/or learners.
  • Experience in developing and teaching online courses (which may include hybrid, hyflex, synchronous, or asynchronous).
  • Experience with PELSB and program accreditation.
  • Evidence of successful university teaching experiences at the college level.
  • Must be able to teach in-person and online courses.

Eligibility includes being a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, or a foreign national authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship. Employees must maintain work authorization without sponsorship for the duration of their appointment.
