The University of Findlay invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in English (Technical Communication and Creative Writing) to begin in August 2026 in the College of Business and Humanities. Additional emphasis in Writing for Project Management and Screenwriting and/or Playwriting is desirable. Candidates will be expected to teach in growing Public & Professional Writing and Creative Writing emphases within the English major, including writing for business, science, industry, and health professions audiences, and conducting genre-friendly creative workshops in a variety of media. Opportunities are available to work with UF’s in-house literary magazine Writers’ Kitchen and nationally recognized journal Slippery Elm. Familiarity with course delivery in online and/or hybrid modes is expected, along with teaching experience in First-Year Composition and/or Second Writing courses. An MFA or Ph.D. in Creative Writing or related field and college teaching experience are required, along with a continuing record of creative publication and literary citizenship. The candidate must possess strong communication skills and a desire to work with students in a university setting that prides itself on providing close relationships between students and faculty.
