About The Position

Assistant Warehouse Manager - Birmingham, AL Priority Wire & Cable is in need of an Assistant Warehouse Manager in our Birmingham, AL warehouse for our 1st shift (7am - 5pm). The candidate must possess good management skills, the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Plans, Directs and Coordinates activities pertaining to the operations of distribution facility in accordance with company policies and governmental regulations. This Assistant Warehouse Manager position will be focused on receiving, inventory control, and stock organization. We are a veteran hiring advocate and will consider candidates with relevant military experience in supply chain, logistics and warehouse inventory management. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job due to its in-person work requirement. You must have access to reliable transportation to and from work, whether that be public transportation or a personal vehicle. This is a critical element for the role with which you are applying.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience
  • 4-5 years warehouse experience; wire distribution experience preferred.
  • Proficient Math Skills.
  • Proficient Computer skills and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
  • access to reliable transportation to and from work, whether that be public transportation or a personal vehicle

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Wire & Cable experience is a plus
