About The Position

This Associate Broker serves as an integral member of the Multi-Lines team, assisting senior brokerage and underwriting staff by marketing, managing, and retaining a consistently growing book of wholesale business. Description: Manage broker book by reviewing, marketing, quoting and binding new and renewal business. Provide support to senior staff members, as needed, in order to enable brokers to focus on client relationships and business development. Act as liaison between clients and carriers in order to effectively meet the needs of all stakeholders. Obtain all necessary underwriting support. Provide post-binding service to clients, as needed, including loss history documentation, inspection reviews, and endorsement requests. Deliver timely and accurate service to clients. Requirements

  • Degree in Business or related field with 1-2 years of insurance or related background
  • Understanding of insurance concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of product offerings.
  • Ability to work both independently and part of a team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of administrative procedures, including managing files, records and diaries.
  • Ability to present concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Good knowledge and familiarity with computers and applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to prescribed routines and practices.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Maintain attention to detail.
  • Routine decision making and creative skills are required.
  • Analytical skills, including ability to identify and report problems or errors while working with significant amounts of detailed information.
