Parametrix’s Advisory Services team is expanding our Value Engineering / Management-as-a-Service offering and is seeking a Business Advisor with a Certified Value Specialist (CVS) and/or Value Management Associate (VMA) credential to help build and deliver this growing service line. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analytical problem-solving, facilitating collaborative workshops, and helping clients optimize project value and performance. You’ll support value engineering studies while also contributing to broader advisory service delivery efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Certified Value Specialist (CVS) and/or Value Management Associate (VMA) certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience supporting infrastructure or capital projects
  • Strong command of Value Management framework and processes, including Function Analysis and Facilitation skills.
  • 2+ Experience participating in or facilitating value engineering or value management workshops
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical disciplines and with clients
  • Familiarity with life-cycle cost analysis, risk analysis, and capital project delivery practices
  • Experience advising public sector clients
  • Strong writing skills

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead value engineering/value analysis studies for infrastructure and capital projects
  • Identify cost optimization and performance improvement opportunities
  • Develop clear, actionable recommendations supported by data and analysis
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and client-ready deliverables
  • Support value analysis, life cycle cost analysis, constructability analysis, economic evaluations, and other strategic analyses as necessary
  • Help plan, organize, and facilitate value management workshops
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams and client stakeholders
  • Capture workshop findings, synthesize outcomes, and document recommendations
  • Ensure alignment between project objectives, stakeholder needs, and value outcomes
  • Support broader advisory engagements including constructability reviews, project delivery, risk management, and process improvement efforts, and other project and program delivery efforts
  • Assist in developing client presentations, strategic recommendations, and implementation roadmaps
  • Contribute to business case development and capital planning efforts
  • Contribute to refining methodologies, templates, and tools for the value management offering
  • Support proposal development and marketing efforts related to value engineering services
  • Stay current on industry best practices and emerging trends in value management
