GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Associate Buyer will provide analytical and tactical purchasing support to High Companies. This position will support the corporate centralized procurement functions and sustainability efforts of all SBUS’s. This role involves collaboration with internal departments and external suppliers to meet organizational needs efficiently.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of procurement and data analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Finance or related field
  • Knowledge of general purchasing and accounting practices
  • Experience/knowledge in an ERP system, preferably SAP
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills; must be detailed oriented
  • Ability to travel (<5% of time)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze spending, market trends, and supplier performance
  • Annual vendor billing audits
  • Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and reporting tools
  • Assist in RFP processes and vendor evaluations
  • Support contract negotiations with data insights and benchmarking
  • Assist with process improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with finance, operation, procurement, and sustainability on procurement-related initiatives
  • Work with departments to understand procurement needs
  • Support budgeting and cost analysis efforts
  • Assist in research and implementation of any sustainability focused projects
  • Lead by example and emulate High Philosophy: Building Trustworthy Relationships and Being Innovative Leaders
  • Collaborate with all departments to provide procurement service and guidance
  • Perform other duties and tasks, as assigned, within the scope of the job responsibilities
