As an Associate Consultant who can provide dependable pre-sales support to senior consultants through research, documentation, and solution preparation; demonstrate strong learning agility to quickly understand products, tools, and client use cases; apply analytical and problem-solving skills to assist in evaluating customer needs under guidance; collaborate effectively across sales, engineering, and consulting teams; communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal formats; and execute with consistency and accountability, meeting deadlines while developing toward increased autonomy and future promotion readiness. A typical day for an Associate Consultant involves supporting senior consultants and sales teams throughout the pre-sales cycle by preparing research, solution materials, and documentation for active opportunities. The role includes collaborating with sales, engineering, and consulting partners in internal meetings to understand client needs, acting items, and following up on assigned tasks. Time is spent learning products, tools, and use cases, assisting with demos or presentations, and helping refine proposals. The Associate Consultant balances execution and learning—meeting deadlines, maintaining quality, and gradually taking on more responsibility as technical knowledge, confidence, and autonomy grow. Success in the Associate Consultant role will be measured by the quality, consistency, and timeliness of contributions to pre-sales activities, as well as demonstrated growth toward increased responsibility. Key measures include the ability to reliably support senior consultants and sales teams, meet deadlines, and produce accurate, professional deliverables. Performance will also be evaluated on learning agility, including how quickly the individual develops product knowledge and applies feedback. Effective collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams are essential indicators of success. Over time, readiness for progression will be assessed based on increasing autonomy, problem-solving capability, and preparedness to take on broader consulting responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of consulting, technology, or solutions-based sales environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate information and support solution design under guidance.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create professional documentation and presentations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as sales, engineering, and consulting.
  • High learning agility and coachability, with openness to feedback and continuous development.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Exposure to pre-sales, solutions consulting, or technical sales environments.
  • Familiarity with CRM or sales enablement tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Employee Navigator, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of SaaS, cloud, or technology-driven solutions.
  • Experience supporting client-facing deliverables such as demos, proposals, or presentations.
  • Internship or early-career experience in consulting, technology, or related fields.
  • Interest in progressing into a consultant or Principal Consultant role.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior exposure to pre-sales, solutions consulting, or technical sales environments.
