About The Position

As an Associate Counsel on the U.S. Regulatory Change Management (RCM) team, you will support Walmart’s enterprise regulatory change program by conducting legal research, analyzing regulatory developments, supporting cross‑functional impact assessments, and helping drive compliance implementation activities. This role is ideal for early‑career attorneys who have strong analytical skills, enjoy translating complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance, and thrive in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment. Monitor and summarize federal and state regulatory and legislative developments. Produce concise, business‑focused impact analyses under Counsel/Senior Counsel direction. Support development of trackers, legal surveys, and other reference materials. Assist in regulatory change implementation by coordinating with Compliance and operational partners. Contribute to governance materials, documentation, and repeatable RCM processes. Collaborate across Compliance, Regulatory Legal, Corporate Affairs, and business teams. Draft internal summaries, memos, and stakeholder communications. Apply sound legal judgment to provide practical recommendations. Requirements

  • Law degree from accredited law school and 2 years’ experience in law.
  • License to practice law in at least one state.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, administrative law, or legislative/regulatory analysis.
  • Experience supporting cross‑functional teams or working within large, matrixed organizations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory risk assessment models or compliance program frameworks.

  • Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
