Associate Director, Facilities Maintenance Location: Portsmouth, NH. Reporting to the site Head of Engineering and Facilities the Associate Director of Facilities Maintenance will have responsibility for leading, either directly or through others, a team of 60 – 80 facilities and maintenance employees. This role is responsible for the smooth, efficient and reliable functioning of all of the operations of the manufacturing and utility plant as it relates to Maintenance, Planning and Scheduling, Spare Parts, Suite and Elastomer Maintenance, HVAC, Plant Utilities, Energy Management and Reliability Engineering for the Portsmouth site. Access to our full list of global benefits: https://www.lonza.com/careers/benefits What you will do: Responsible for the delivery of reliable operation and maintenance of all plant utilities, manufacturing equipment, HVACR systems including but not limited to water, steam, air, process gases, waste/ neutralization, process equipment, air handlers and temperature controlled rooms and equipment. Direct and lead the daily work of the Utilities/ Maintenance Departments including budgeting, hiring and staffing and performance management and utility billing. Responsible for contractor vetting and supervision in the areas of plant security, janitorial services, cafeteria services and pest control programs.. Responsible for compliance with all current Federal and State regulations regarding Utilities/ Maintenance, acts as a point of contact for the FDA and other government agencies as well as customer audits. Provide all necessary planning and supply projections regarding facility expansion, including new construction and renovation of existing spaces. Investigates and drives capital and operational improvements to the site. Responsible for delivering plant maintenance support services to the Portsmouth site, owns the plant maintenance systems. Perform other duties as needed. What we are looking for: Bachelor's Degree with 5-10 year's of experience in Engineering/Manufacturing. Exceptional leadership, interpersonal communication, negotiations, collaboration and management skills. Ability to work inter-departmentally and with customers. High level of suite specific operations and technical skills. Demonstrate ability for effective Planning, Organizing and Controlling competency. Demonstrate sound decision making, considering broad scope of factors. Ability to effectively prioritize and direct tasks in a fast-paced environment is critical.
