About The Position

Fiduciary Exchange LLC, “FIDx” is a fast-growing fintech with a mission to make retirement products easy. Our platforms simplify sales and management workflows for advisors, making annuities more accessible and manageable. As we expand our platform to support new distribution firms, insurance carriers, and product offerings, we're also investing in automation to ensure quality and scalability across our ecosystem. As a Junior Automation Developer, you'll play a key role in building and maintaining automated test coverage for our platform. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and QA teams to ensure our applications are reliable and deliver a seamless experience to our users. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while working with modern automation tools — including leveraging AI-powered tools to write smarter tests, identify coverage gaps, and work more efficiently.

Requirements

2-4 years of experience in software development or test automation
Familiarity with JavaScript
Exposure to Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar automation tools
Comfort using AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude) to support development and problem-solving
Understanding of software testing principles and QA methodologies
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
Candidate must be self-motivated, adaptable, and show initiative
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to remain composed in critical deadline situations
Travel and flexible working hours may be required occasionally

Nice To Haves

Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
Exposure to REST APIs and backend testing
Understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and JavaScript
Leverage AI tools to accelerate test development, improve coverage, and streamline day-to-day automation tasks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
Execute and monitor automated test suites, analyze results, and report issues
Contribute to the evolution of our automation framework and tooling
Document test cases, results, and automation processes
Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives
Support continuous integration and deployment efforts through test automation
