The Associate Professor will focus on building a successful academic career while making meaningful contributions to the discipline, department, and College of Medicine. Primary responsibilities include 100% research time aligned with college expectations and personal career goals. This position is a Designated Research Position and is regulated by the Arkansas Research Education Protection Act of 2025 . Requirements

  • MD, PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and address key research objectives that would benefit from your expertise and maintain and grow the research activities in alignment with ACRI and Arkansas Children’s strategic plans.
  • Advance The LINK’s mission by supporting community-engaged dissemination and implementation (D&I) science. This includes aligning research activities with The LINK’s goals of promoting equitable, practice-informed strategies that build trust between researchers and communities.
  • Design and lead research projects that reflect The LINK’s values by embedding community voice and partnership throughout the research process. For example, your content expertise in community-engaged implementation science and adolescent digital mental health provides a strong opportunity to explore equitable implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Extend research activities in these areas through collaboration with investigators at Arkansas Children’s/ACRI and UAMS.
  • Support the growth of community-based research and implementation science approaches for the ACRI and the Arkansas Children’s Nutrition Center (ACNC).
  • Serve as a mentor, consultant, and role model to ACRI/UAMS investigators and trainees seeking training or expertise in community-engaged implementation science and adolescent digital mental health.
  • Collaborate with the Arkansas Children’s Health System, ACNC, and the Translational Research Institute to leverage existing resources and recruit talented scientists to expeditiously fulfill the program goals.
  • Regularly attend ACRI meetings and activities, serve on relevant committees, and ultimately serve in leadership positions to advance the mission and goals of the ACRI.
