About The Position

The Audiovisual Specialist is responsible for the design, installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of a wide array of audiovisual equipment and systems to support high-quality presentations, conferences, meetings, and events. This role ensures the seamless integration of audio, visual, and video components, consistently delivering effective technical solutions tailored to the needs of government clients and stakeholders. Requirements

  • Audiovisual Specialist Senior:
  • Bachelor’s degree or approved equivalent experience.
  • NV certification (e.g., Certified Technology Specialist, Crestron Technical Institute certifications, e.g., Technician/Field Engineer, Programmer, Core).
  • 4 years’ AV experience, specifically with relation to NV systems. This skill level typically performs all functional duties independently and independently and may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze systems and procedures.
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple design streams across concurrent work effort.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

Responsibilities

  • Provide A/V technical support consistent with the Audio/Visual Specialist labor category and required A/V certification(s).
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and audio visual (AV) systems including, but not limited to: Cameras, N-Version Execution (NVX) Encoders, Digital Media NVX (DM-NVX) Encoders, Digital Signal Processors, Microphones, Speakers, Amplifiers, Televisions/Displays, Servers, Switches, and Routers.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software including, but not limited to: Crestron, Christie Spyder, Christie Controller, Bosch, Dante, Jabber, WebEx, Codecs and Touch Panels.
  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, set up and schedule VTCs along with maintaining the recording system and inventorying the recordings.
  • Create and maintain documentation for all installations and changes including, but not limited to: Diagrams (Layer 1, Layer 2, Layer 3, Boundary, Core, Distribution, Access), Rack elevations and Ports and Protocols lists.
  • Install troubleshoot, maintain, splice, and terminate all copper and fiber cables for all 39 IOS networks.
  • Apply cyber and/or information technology duties and experiences specifically with relation to A/V systems.
  • Support end-user and classroom/lab A/V needs aligned to the DCWF Technical Support Specialist work role.
  • Document and maintain A/V system configurations and support actions as applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.
