About The Position

Revolution is looking for an Automation Technician to join our team. This role will support a multi-state territory that includes northeast Arkansas, southern Missouri, and northwestern Tennessee, providing service and support across a regional customer base. This position is crucial for maintaining and repairing bale tying and packaging equipment at customer locations across the assigned territory. The role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, adhering to instructions effectively. The succesful candidate will need to exercise judgment to efficiently repair equipment and ensure continuous production flow. The work environment can be fast-paced, particularly during peak periods. Flexibility is essential as hours may vary and could exceed standard work-week lengths during the busy season. Given the seasonal demands of the cotton industry and related manufacturing sectors, workload and scheduled hours typically rise during peak seasons. A company-provided vehicle will be available for transportation to customer locations within the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulics.
  • Must have a basic tool set [wrenches (open-end, socket, and allen types), screwdrivers (flat- and Phillips-head in various sizes)].
  • Demonstrate the ability to oversee various tasks and perform necessary paperwork.
  • Must know or be capable of learning how to service and repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Occasionally lift weights up to 45 pounds to shoulder level.
  • A clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) as part of the application requirements.
  • Troubleshoot equipment or machine problems & repair/replace components as required.
  • Travel up to 50% during peak season.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, analyze, and detect the causes of system malfunctions and faults.
  • Record all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Repair or replace faulty parts and adjust machines as needed to uphold production efficiency.
  • Responsible for repairing mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems, replacing and fixing components as required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve program issues in programmable controls.
  • Clear, concise, and respectful communication with customers and their employees to maintain positive relationships and deliver excellent service.
  • Other duties as assigned.
